Michael Owen is Chairman of the Board of SAMI, which is responsible for such functions as strategic direction; 5-year business plan; corporate accounting and legal issues; and succession planning. Gill Ringland is the CEO and chairs the SAMI Executive, which is responsible to the Board for execution of the strategy and day-to-day running of SAMI.

SAMI comprises:

• Fellows, who have been senior managers in large organisations and have tackled the real issues facing organisations today. Their experience ranges from FTSE 100 companies and the public sector, to startups and the voluntary sector. Fellows take responsibility for SAMI projects.
• Principals, who are recognised experts in their field, as futurists, planners, strategists or change management experts.
• We also have wide a network of Associates who work with us on specific projects and have in depth experience in Construction and Property, Defence, Education, Financial Services, Health, Insurance, Law, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Social care, Telecoms and across the public sector.
  They have specific expertise in human resources, ICT, information science, innovation, marketing, occupational psychology, organisational development, planning, project management, scenario planning and visual arts.
