Wensupu "Wen" Yang

Wen is an emerging futurist with a keen interest in the intersection of emerging technologies, societal change, and the future of cognition and knowledge work. Driven by the transformative potential of futures thinking, he explores how foresight can enhance individual and organizational adaptability in rapidly changing environments. Wen is passionate about translating futures methodologies into accessible strategies for diverse and self-directed learners. He is the creator of a DIY Master’s in Futures Studies & Foresight, designed to help individuals build futures literacy outside traditional educational pathways.

Outside of foresight, Wen is a developer and founder of KWiM, an early-stage AI startup focused on improving human–AI interaction through contextual recall. Prior to moving to the UK, he worked in energy and compliance consulting in China.

Wen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), and an Emerging Fellow at the Association of Professional Futurists (APF). He holds a degree in Management Science from the University of California San Diego. He speaks Chinese and joined SAMI Consulting as an Associate in 2025.
